The purpose of this study was to analyze into scoliotic angle and pain and to examine into a therapeutic effect on the patients with structural scoliosis, low back pain.
Exercise program put in operation on a lumbar stretching, pelvic tilting, abdomen strengthening. The Cobb's angle and VAS was measured continuously before and after the exercise.
Experimental objects was a patient with scoliosis and low back pain who take medical treatment in Z-Oriental Medicine, where was Asan city in Chung Nam. The patients can be classified into two main groups. Acupuncture, Cupping Glass and TuiNa Care are grouped into the A, The A & Exercise grouped into the B. Patients of the A Group(14) and B Group(12) in this experiment was treated for three time a week. Exercise program came into force limited painless.
The Cobb's angle and VAS was measured by X-ray photographing after ten times TuiNa Care.
The following results were obtained.
1. The Cobb's angle has decreased in the A group(55%) and B group(64%) after Treatment ; the one was inferior to the other by therapeutic effect.
2. The VAS was significantly decreased(20%) of all cases after treatment. Pain decreasing rate indicated the A group(65%) and B group(85%) ; the one was inferior to the other.
3. This study hasn't observed follow up to long term, because the results was obtained from shortened term of the patients. Therefore, A further direction of this study will be to provide more follow up for patients who can be relapse or improve.
