Modern, on the average, means the people recognized individuality and personality. This paper aimed to investigate the characteristics for the view of womanhood and woman education in the period of 1920's. The change and evolution of that times very complicated, so I researched articles of SINYEOSEONG one of the most typical magazine.
This magazines published by Gaebeok Publisher from 1923.9. to 1934.4.(Yeokrak Publisher reprinted this magazine in 2003.) I constructed the articles's genre, subject, writer and style use Excel Program.
In this times, many of the articles interested in the view of womanhood and woman education, or enlightenment. This articles contained the mother's role or individual person. The writer's real name meaned responsibility, so these article's subject interested in enlightenment, but anonym articles satirized on society. The style changed the reader's literacy suitably. So this magazine published by Korean alphabet or put in brackets Chinese characters.
The woman's education ideology have changed complicated by degree. In this times, many people concerned about difficulty of obtaining woman school admission and high level education. And they thought the woman's role was mother or individual ability. The articles about vanity, man-woman relation, demoralization and divorce reflected new social aspects or interesting of journalism.
