The Russo-Japanese war (1904-1905) occurred shortly after the negotiation between Russia and Japan came to end in vain. We has disregarded this war for the reason that the power-expanding struggle between imperialistic nations, led to the loss of sovereignty of our nation and left a tragic history of Japan’s colony.
But I found that the roar of firing by the sudden attack of Japan had started not at Ruisoon harber (旅順港 奇襲), but at Incheon harbor (仁川港海戰, Jaemulpo) and Korean peninsula had became 'the second battle field', left devastated. That is why, we should regard the meaning of battles on the sea and land of Korean peninsular.
Additionally we have respect to the points, did the government of the Korean Empire (大韓帝國) and its people, indeed, turn away as a looker-on from this historical fate?
I will assert that the Russo-Japanese war cannot be overlooked because it is directly involved in our fate and interest and that we didn’t look on the situation. For this purpose, I will reveal the truth of the battle on the sea-Incheon battle, the battles on the land - the Jungjoo battle (定州戰鬪), the Yalu River battle (鴨綠江戰鬪), and illuminate the activities of the Korean people in cooperation with Russia against Japan (through not formal) and volunteers army.
