Price undertakings system is very useful anti-dumping measures that can protect domestic industry without trade dispute with trade partner.
In this study, I compared Korean and Chinese price undertakings system with WTO rules, and analyzed it laying stress on connected law of both countries.
As a result of this study, I proved that several part of the Chinese price undertakings system are disagreed with WTO rules. Therefore, Chinese government should revise them so that its anti-dumping law is agreed with WTO rules.
On the other hand, Korea's anti-dumping law that explain price undertakings system was conforming WTO rules generally. But, it was limit that current system reflects interests of domestic industry effectively. Therefore, our government will have to have sincere examination about reform measures of current system, and make up for the defect in the system.
