Because of the existing goal of M&A has focused in financial and productive sides, most of M&A companies(over 50%) failed in organizational integration after M&A.
The reason of failure in M&A is to fail to develop the integration of human resources in a integrated corporate culture. The purpose of this study is to make contribution to the companies of preparing for M&A as using a successful case of M&A in Korea through the integration of human resource.
Then this study researched how the integration of effective human resource management to contribute in successful M&A through the M&A case of H and K motors. The various integration effort of human resource management of the case company as follows;
First, H motors executed the educational programs and events for the employees of K motors as the device of sharing corporate culture.
Second, H motors payed the back pay for employees of K motors after M&A at once, reconstructed a welfare program as a normal level of management, and pressed for improvement in the quality of employee's motivation through the safety of labor for organizational activity and labor productivity.
So H motors could resolve the problems in the job security of K motors's employees, maximize the synergy effect of M&A and solve the heterogeneity of between employees of both sides as keep the fair balance of the labor conditions(wage, promotion, welfare etc.) of them.
Finally, H motors tried to pursuit to a security of integrated organization through the shifts and job rotation of employees of both sides temporally.
As the result in this effort H motors has grown as a successful M&A company which get a big surplus continually since 1999.
The conclusion of this study shows that the management of effective human resource management is very important factor for a successful M&A in a integrated corporate.
