This paper studies the mean of mind in Han YongWoon's literature. As mind is main concept of Buddhism, it is a method of understandig in Han YongWoon's literature. Han YongWoon discords between the emptiness and actuality in mind. He pursued the deliverance and actual arguing at the same time.
Here, mind is specific energy. So Han YongWoon concentrates on mind by the Nim and through this makes the Nim center of power. Energetic mind becomes new creature. Nim is object of pursuit and method of mind-becoming, too. This means the unity of emptiness and actuality in mind.
In Han YongWoon' poetry, 〈The Silence of Nim〉 is the most splendid model in the unity of mind. Han YongWoon shows impressive creation in the 〈The Silence of Nim〉. Mind becomes the emptiness and actuality at the same time.
Such features appear Han YongWoon' discourse. Through his discourse, Han YongWoon asserts the unity of emptiness and actuality in mind and social activity of Buddhism. This results from the situation of colony in Cho-sun. Han YongWoon would overcome the colonialism through the mind, the unity of the emptiness and actuality.
