Public art projects currently on the boil attract active participation rather than simple observation of visitors by considering art as communication medium, not as a finished material or object. Thus, the projects are not only focused on 'participation' on art, and but also interested in social health, cultural diversity and environmental awakening. However, public art projects are often finished as a quiet festival only for artists, not connecting or completing two categories, artistic expressions and interaction with local community in terms of artist community approach to local community or public environment, where they pursue combination with local community. Therefore, this study examines each pattern of local art project as public art to the present through case analysis and discusses characteristics and limitation of these patterns. It is expected that this analysis process will be the foundation for development of better local art projects as a model of previous study on the projects with new alternatives.
