This study explores classroom management techniques for enhancing interaction in elementary English classrooms. For this study, the researchers conducted oral interviews with English teachers, with the belief that this research method would produce detailed descriptions useful for understanding how the teachers would provide students with opportunities to promote communicative competence and interaction in classrooms. According to the data analysis, a variety of classroom organization types were employed in accordance with students" language proficiency levels. Also, lessons were developed to encourage student motivation, considered to be of high priority. The teachers also tried to tailor their teaching materials and to provide students with authentic English learning experience. However, this study found that some teachers still had difficulty speaking English fluently and managing language proficiency gaps among students, and that they would rarely share useful language teaching information with one another. Finally, the teachers seemed to acknowledge that they should constantly make efforts to improve their management techniques in order to provide better lessons to students. At the end, this study suggested some possible solutions to problems teachers might have in class.
