This paper present the proper direction for the physical strength test in examination to select new appointment police. Employment as the police officer is to place to proper positions and to provide equal opportunities to people who get the qualification and capability that could be employed as police of the Republic of Korea and officials of the police officers through a fair selection process and conditions. Up to date, In Republic of Korea, it has changed the police recruitment test in order to recruit superior officers and exclude a person disqualified for a police. In 2011, According to the Plan of Advanced Examination System for employment police, the adoption of the written examination system which has continued for 40 years has begun to improve in following diagnosis that the current written tests oriented program is difficult to satisfy the needs of the Korean nation for excellent security personnel selection. Especially for improving the point at issue that a Written-Employment-Examination holds high specific gravity, it has done to reduce the proportion of written examination and increased the portion and the subjects of the physical examination. However, an opinion that there is the particularly insufficient part which measures necessary physical strength precisely to conduct the police operation that examination for revised new appointment police physical strength items is becoming a major issue. It should expand a physical strength test item more and should select supporters with the physical strength for police operation performance.
