The national curriculum is revised nine times from the Syllabus Period so far in Korea. If the curriculum is changed, the textbook must be changed accordingly. In 2015, the new national curriculum will be presented, so we need a study linking the national curriculum and textbooks in order to prepare a new textbook corresponding to the new national curriculum.
In this paper, we first look at the characteristic of each national curriculum, and then state the contents of the geometry part in each national curriculum, and observe the change of the geometry part in each revision stage.
We also scan some 7th grade textbooks, which belong to the Korea Education Data Research Center, published in the Syllabus Period, the first and the second national curriculum period, focused on the ‘construction’ part to compare the contents described with the one in the present textbook.
