The purpose of the study is to understand the importance of experience while five-year-old children in Sky class through Ma-dang play. This study had been executed for four months, from April to July, through close observation and written documents while having free-choice activities time, story telling, Korean Traditional music performances, and Ma-dang play. Here we show the experiences of 5-year-old 26 children in Sky class. The first, outdoor activity is started with children"s experiences with Korean Traditional Performances such as Korean musical instruments or dances during free-choice activities time. Second, the children can do experiences connecting the subject with Ma-dang play. Third, the children can think that Ma-dang play is played together with others and also the roles in that Ma-dang play are important. Fourth, the children change the Ma-dang play that is made with a lot of experiences and plays to new plays. Fifth, the children can learn cooperative spirit through Ma-dang play. Sixth, the children may feel a sense of achievement through communication with their mother, father or others. These experiences tells us that they lead re-creation of children"s play in complicated but concrete ways. Therefore, I propose that children Ma-dang play should be observed in a way that deals with the change of their lives and overall means based on the understanding of phenomenological study.
