This paper aims to analyze English and Korean aspects, especially of what the difference between English aspects and Korean aspects. As for aspects, there are two basic aspectual oppositions, namely the perfective aspect and the imperfective aspect. In a sense, they can be called grammatical categories of English aspects because they are represented in the same forms as grammatical forms. In terms of Semantics, aspects can be classified into lexical categories such as inception, result, termination. iteration, repetition and duration etc. To precisely understand English and Korean aspects grammatical and lexical categories should first be reviewed. There are aspectual markers in Korean and English. However, Korean has much more aspectual markers than English. I suggested how to divide and compare the aspectual markers in English and Korean. In conclusion, the grammatical aspect and the lexical semantic aspect are very important in studying aspects in English and Korean.
