The purpose of the study was to investigate whether the university students have any knowledge about the public rental housing for university students and how much they prefer this policy.
The data for the analysis was collected through questionnaire survey method from July 01 to August 01, 2015, and the sample consisted of 136 university students who do not live with their family. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and analysis of variance with Duncan’s multiple range tests. The results were as follows : 1) Most of the respondents have heard about Public Rental Housing Policy for University Students. The awareness of these policies was very positive. Moving intention to the public rental housing was very high. 2) Students were reluctant to apply because of the procedure complex and the long period. So to make a preference higher, government have to relax the procedure aspect. 3) The most important factor when students select the public rental housing was a Financial factor. So Government have to reduce the price to the optimum level.
