The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze sport consumers’ eye movements on components of sports related web-site which are advertisements and data types. In other words, by identifying sport consumers’ eye attraction on sports web-site contents and advertisements, this study can be used as a sport marketing tool for constructing an effective sport web-site and suggesting theoretical data on sports web-site marketing effects.
To accomplish the purpose of this study, a survey and eye-tracking was conducted with 47 participants. Five participants who have worn contact lens or were unable to participate on eye-tracking were excluded, so total of 42 participants were measured. SPSS 18.0 were used for managing data. By using SPSS 18.0, frequency analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA analysis were carried out. The following suggests summary of the results from the analysis and implication of this study: First, the relationship between the lay-out size of sports web-site data type and consumers’ eye attraction share showed that large lay-out size contents got more eye attraction. Main data had the most eye attraction share followed by game information, highlights, advertisement, text and sponsor. The average time value of eye attraction on each data type ranked in the order of main data, game information, highlights, advertisement, text and sponsor. Second, the relationship between demographic factors and Eye Tracking Score(ETS) showed partial correlation. In demographic factors, gender, internet usage time and online purchase experience had no correlation but age and educational background had correlation with ETS. Age had an influence on main data and advertisement. For main data, ‘20 ~ below 23’ and ‘31 ~ below 40’ a ge g roup, and for advertisement ‘31 ~ blow 4 0’ a nd ‘ 4 1 ~ below 50’ a ge g roup h ad c orrelation. In educational background, ‘attending college’ and ‘above graduate school’ group had a correlation with main data.
