The purpose of this study was to analyze the activities related to peace education for 3- to 5-year-old children on the Nuri curriculum teacher’s guidebooks. It was expected to provide basic and practical information about peace education related activities for sustainable development in the field of early childhood education. The researcher examined entire activities that appeared in the 32 Nuri teacher’s guidebooks for young children aged 3 to 5. The peace education-related activities were classified by children’s age, life themes, and type of activities. Also, they were classified into three sub categories such as area of knowledge, skills, and values and attitudes in peace education based on Hicks’s theory. The major results of this study showed frequency differences on the activities by children’s age, life themes, and type of activities, but those activities tended to be one-sided among the three categories. This study may provide insights into improving young children’s social, emotional, and cognitive learning experiences for peace education with well-balanced activities in the Nuri curriculum.
