The purpose of this study was to analyze characteristics of share house through case studies and to shed new light on its meaning and roles. For this study, community-linked 5 cases that supplied private sectors were selected for analysis. The data of share house was collected through preceding researches, related study literatures and internet materials. Analysis lists of cases turned on the general outline, space characteristics, operations and management, community programs of residents. The results were as followings: 1) In organization of space, private space has been organized mainly own single room, or shares a double room and individual sanitation facility is unoffered. As public space, lounge, kitchen and bathroom are basically a shared space. Major spaces for community are lounge but they lack of diversity. In arrangment method, spaces are arranged around lounge and multi-layer between private and public space. 2) In operations and management, period of housing lease contract is at least six months. Housing expenditure is compulsory but some cases has made a self profit. Housing facilities are given by default for sharing. Rules and education about community life for residents are operated so minimize conflict and maximize benefits of sharing. 3). In community programs, various program operated for residents. Some spaces are shared for opening to the local community and make interaction with community.
