The purpose of this study is to analysis of the motivation for marriage and the relations with their family of Vietnamese women who married Korean men, depending on their marriage method. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, we interviewed Vietnamese migrant women living in Korea and their family in Vietnam. According to the result of the survey, regardless of the marriage methods, the economic reason was the most important factor on the marriage decision of these women, and the family relied heavily on the financial support of their daughter despite the concern for their child. On the other hand, the difference in the marriage methods also affected mutual trust and understanding of couples. It also found out that the social network through the international marriage could promote the connection of labor market network between Vietnam and Korea.
