This study was conducted to find out the structural interactions of job insecurity that lead to job obsession on employees working at food industries. So that this finding could propose the proper way to efficiently manage human resource that they have. The statistical program SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 were used to analyze the collected data. This study was intended to help researchers and managers interested on food service by providing the findings of relationship between job insecurity and job obsession of food service industry employees. Despite the external growth in food service industry with the stagnant recession, its performance and expectations have been diminished. This phenomenon caused food service industry employees anxieties that lead to job obsession. The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship of their ways of getting out of anxiety of losing jobs and job obsession.
The background of this study is to find how job obsession affects the food service industry and employees working for them. The followings are the findings of the research. First, The 4 factors of Job obsession were found out to be ‘instability of employment’, ‘Change of task’, ‘Uncertainty of getting paid’, and ‘A feeling of helplessness’. econd, after analyzing how job insecurity affect the job obsession, factors that affect the job obsession were ’Change of task’,’Uncertainty of getting paid’, and ’A feeling of helplessness’. ‘Instability of employment’ had no relationship with the job obsession.
