The purpose of this study is to investigate recognition of students in physical education college in Korea on the practical college entrance examination system of physical education college in-depth, and to provide basic data necessary for changes in the practical examination system in the future. To this end, this study selected students who are currently enrolled in physical education college as research participants to collect data through individual and group interview, individual descriptive questionnaire, research journal, and literature investigation, and obtained the following results. First, students recognized practical examination for entering physical education college to have excessively high standards that can bring about side effects of cheating as giving up early on entering physical education college and taking drugs. Secondly, for necessity of practical examination of physical education college, it was identified that students had questions and negative view on effectiveness of the current system that does not correspond with their major. Thirdly, students considered that practical examination should ultimately be abolished as they perceived practical examination of physical education college is working as a major tool in degrading the value of physical education that interferes with development possibility of physical education college. In conclusions, students enrolled in physical education college were not feeling the necessity of practical examination as it leads to many side effects and does not take characteristics of each department into account, and felt the need to abolish practical examination for improvement of competitiveness of physical education college.
