The purpose of this study was to investigate a study on the moderated effects of the common characteristics and competition anxiety according to sex of youth golf players. The subjects of this study were collected 541 of youth golf players who are listed on the Korean Sports Council. The survey questionnaires were used to collect the data. The collected material was carried out by using Spss and Amos 21.0 version. The questionnaires for the competition anxiety had been developed by Martens, Burton, Vealey, Bump, & Smith(1990), Yang(2009), Oh(2006), and Jo(2006), From the analyses of the data, the study reached the following conclusions. The methods of statistics used to analyze the collected dates are correlation analysis, and path analysis by structural equational model analysis. The most meaningful results of the study were as follows; First, The results showed that youth golfer’s experience of winning the championship did not affect competition anxiety. Second, The results showed that youth golfer’s golf career did affect competition anxiety. Third, The results showed that youth golfer’s golf level did affect competition anxiety. Forth, It has been shown that the general characteristics of youth golfer’s - youth golfer’s experience of winning the championship on competition anxiety, the impact of golf experience on competition anxiety and the impact of golf level on competition anxiety according to sex.
