This paper aims at analyzing trends of research in Humanities contents. This paper analyzes the total 588 academic papers published in the Journal of Humanities Contents NO.1 through 50, which are periodical academic publications. The results of the study are as follows. First, the sectoral study showed the highest percentage of general culture, followed by cultural contents industry general, cultural contents education, cultural policy, and cultural technology.
Second, the research methodology has the highest ratio of qualitative methodology, and the specific methodology is literature analysis, narrative, and semiotics. Third, the papers in the field of Humanities contents showed a tendency toward theoretical approaches rather than practical them. Specifically, there have been studies concerned with the development, activation, effect of cultural contents in practical approaches. And there have been studies concerned with narrative and meaning of cultural contents in theoretical approaches.
Fourth, the research ‘s timeliness tended to be based on the trends of social and cultural issues. On the other hand, the continuity of research has been studied steadily in the genres that are not influenced by trends, and these are research topics such as film and animation.
