This study is a literature study focusing on positive psychological research results of national and international studies.
The results of the study are as follows.
First, economic wealth increases individual happiness. However, for those individuals whose basic needs have been met, the economic wealth has limited impact on individual happiness.
Second, in poor countries and developing countries, the cl wealth increases the happiness of the people. However, in wealthy countries, the impact on the happiness of the country’s wealthy people is limited
Third, money can not buy happiness because it adapts to happiness, and because it compares social achievement with oneself.
Fourth, the way to be happy without being affected by wealth is as follows: Keeping up with expectations of nostalgia for the past”, “Remind me how things can get worse“, “Choosing a comparison to create an audit”, “valuing intrinsic value rather than economic wealth”.
Increasing economic well-being to individuals and the public is up to the point where discomfort from economic poverty is resolved. If the basic needs of an individual or the public are solved, it is limited to increase economic wealth. For true happiness, intrinsic value must be satisfied rather than material value.
