At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, all the great powers were united. In the northeast frontier of the Eastern Han empire, a separatist regime was established that maintained for nearly half a century. As it was controlled by the Gongsun family for generations and centered on the Liao Dong county of the Han Dynasty, it was commonly referred to as the Gongsun regime. During his reign period, he settled in a corner and dealt with other powerful forces in the central plains, such as Wei and Wu ; The other side dominated Liao Dong, attacked Goguryeo in the east and Fuyeo in the north, maintaining the stability of the northeast region and strengthening the influence of the central plains dynasty in the Peninsula. During the Gong sun regime, there were many communications with Goguryeo. They had friendly communications and wars with each other, and their attitude towards each other was not consistent. This paper discusses the historical events of Gongsun Du, Gongsun Kang and Gongsun Yuan’s exchanges with Goguryeo respectively according to the time sequence, aiming to summarize the historical materials and previous research results, sort out and summarize the relationship between the Gongsun regime and Goguryeo, and analyze its influence. Firstly, this paper expounds the reason of Gongsun Du’s dominance in Liao Dong and the process of his strategy of Hai Dong region. At the beginning of Gongsun Du’s reign as governor of Liao Dong, a war broke out with Goguryeo, the main purpose of which was to intimidate Goguryeo by force. After that, Goguryeo and Gongsun Du maintained peace for several years, providing a fair environment for each other’s development. Later, internal fighting broke out in Goguryeo due to the succession of the throne. Gongsun Du took this opportunity to intervene in Goguryeo’s internal affairs, but failed. At this time, the Gongsun regime and Goguryeo could not be separated from each other. After the death of Gongsun Du, the development of Liao Dong district was still stable. Gongsun Kang successfully used the Goguryeo prince, Baqi, who did not win the throne, to split Goguryeo and march to Goguryeo, winning a great victory. Since then, Goguryeo lost its vitality and no longer had the strength to compete with the Gongsun regime. In the period of Gongsun Yuan, he changed the policy of his predecessors and had already attached himself to Wei Dynasty, he also tried to unite with Wu Dynasty to be independent. Gongsun Yuan kept going back and forth between Wei and Wu, eventually provoking Cao and Wei. In 238 AD, Sima Yi marched to Liao Dong, and Goguryeo also took this opportunity to support Wei Dynasty troops to Liao Dong. However, Gongsun Yuan was unable to resist and eventually failed, and the Gongsun regime in Liao Dong collapsed.
