In the history of Japanese literature, Tanaka Hidemitsu is classified as a Buraiha writer. The Buraiha writers include Osamu Dazai, who made his debut as a writer by recommending Hidemitsu novels, as well as Ishikawa Jun, Oda Sakunosuke, and Sakaguchi Ango. Although Hidemitsu was not as much as the mainstream writers of Buraiha, the battlefield experience by participating in the life of Chosun during the Japanese occupation and during the Sino-Japanese War, It is a part of literature. Hidemitsu acted as a standing secretary of the Chosun Literary Society, which led the colonial Chosun in the wartime system. He collaborated with the literary system of the literary men who were promoted by the Japanese imperialism at the time and the literary magazine ‘National Literature’ as the central axis.
In this study, we focus on the three aspects of the novels of Hidemitsu in the literary magazine "National Literature", seven articles, and the two lectures. Let"s look closely. Unlike his published works for postwar self-excuse and justification, Hidemitsu"s novels, articles, and his words and writings in the discussions reflect the way in which the society of the time was reflected, We will consider whether it is equipped. Through this, we want to approach the real meaning of what the Japanese writer Hidemitsu who lived at one point of Chosun society during the Japanese colonial period is throwing a message to us today and how to interpret and accept it.
