With the start of the new millennium, the digital environment has dramatically improved the researches done on music. Smart education in the music field can be defined as music education that utilize digital technology. This is a concept that can embrace a variety of research topics, scope and method. At the same time, it is also a term that aims to innovate how to research and educate music. The process of creating the music education contents for smart education is based on a musicology research on studying a variety of patterns that explores music history and culture contents. There are five layers that constitute in creating the music education contents: establishing database, data mining, knowledge coordinating, storytelling, and curating. In order to create the music education contents, various methods can be utilized: some examples are audiovisual storytelling and contextualization, displaying networking formations, linking multimedia to maps, and connecting ontology databases. This paper attempts to trace the development of the music education contents using songs that express ‘how beautiful you are’ as an example. This approach will add a new dimension of creating meaning through the Humanities’ reconstruction method. This will advance simple media conversion to a deeper method of research. In result of studying the progression of songs that express ‘how beautiful you are,’ a new essence of understanding will be revealed and awakened. Furthermore, this music education contents can be used as education material for music history as well as cultural enjoyment for the public.
