Recently, the ultimate goal of curing diseases has been comprehensive health care, which includes disease prevention and treatment as well as rehabilitation, focusing on the quality of life including patient mental and social health and physical defects such as quantitative damage. Therefore, this study attempted to help those suffering from vitiligo overcome their tremendous social and mental pain and to cover physical defects through corrective makeup in order to have a positive effect on the quality of life. The study results found the following: First, according to an interview, the results showed some differences by age. However, all vitiligo patients expressed strong dissatisfaction with their face. In addition, psychological contraction and avoidance of interpersonal relationships were found among these patients. Second, the respondents could not tell the difference between general makeup and corrective makeup, hence, no one was able to cover the defect completely. Third, after corrective makeup, they were satisfied with the corrective makeup in covering the vitiligo. In terms of age, those in their 40-50s revealed the highest satisfaction. In this paper, a theoretical study was carried out with literature data, and an empirical study was conducted through a direct makeup demonstration. In terms of the scope of defect coverage through makeup, actual cases in each genre were targeted. For research data, domestic and foreign journals and books and makeup demonstrations were referred to. For visual data, Internet materials were used.
