The purpose of this article is investigate the inservice and preservice science teachers' perception of evolution and evolution class. Subjects were 77 secondary school science teachers and 45 preservice biology teachers. Questionnaires were consisted of 19 items on 3 domains: personal background, teachers' faith of evolution, and perception of teaching evolution in class. The key results are as follows; 1) A number of teachers think that evolution is only a hypothesis. They confused scientific meanings of evolution concept with non-scientific meanings used in everyday life. So they had many problems in teaching evolution in class. 2) The most of teachers think that evolution is very important concept in biology and must be taught in class. 3) They had difficulties to teach evolution in class because of students' religious belief, lack of teaching material for experiment and evidence of evolution, various students' misconceptions and lack of confidence to evolution theory. 4) Preservice biology teachers have more suspicions about evolution and uneasy feeling to teach evolution as a teacher in the future. 5) There is not correlation between teachers' religious faith and evolution class. However there is close correlation between teachers' belief of evolution and other perceptions in evolution class.
