The aim of the present study is to investigate the perceptions of Korean college students regarding an English presentation class. The participants were 24 Korean EFL university students and they delivered their oral presentations in groups. Both pre- and post- questionnaires were administered to examine the learners’ perceptions related to speaking anxiety, interest and confidence. Students were asked to hand in their reflection journals after watching video-recordings of their oral presentations. The survey data were analyzed employing t-tests, and the learners’ reflection journals were analyzed qualitatively. The results of the survey showed that the participants perceived positive changes in their attitudes in terms of interest and confidence, whereas no significant difference was found in their attitudes toward speaking anxiety. The analysis of their reflection journals revealed that the learners made positive comments on their improvement in the use of linguistic strategies as well as in the nonlinguistic components. Overall, the instruction in English presentation had positive effects on the learners’ presentation skills and general abilities. On the basis of the research findings, some practical suggestions were provided for the development and implementation of English presentation courses.
