Ministry of Education in Korea has improved English education curriculum to prepare for the convergence education. However, its great efforts have failed to reach a consensus about every institution for English education. Curriculum can be integrated with three factors: knowledge, function and personality. This point of view has recently been highlighted in 2015 revised national curriculum. The KDB(Knowledge-Do-Be) model is integrated with interdisciplinary concepts and complex interdisciplinary performance functions. There are essential factors: what a teacher expects students to learn, the most important things students need to know (KNOW, knowledge), what they should be able to do (DO, function), the value or attitude(Be). Knowledge includes facts, concepts, or continuing understanding, and its functions include not only the wide range of functions that encompass a variety of subjects, such as communication and information management, but also cognitive functions such as analysis, synthesis. Education is aimed at values. Education without value is like abandoning some of their existence of education and responsibility as a teacher. In order for a student to grow as a true person, it must include personal aspects: attitudes, beliefs, and value-oriented behavior. The unit that develops through the backward design should properly reflect the course curriculum.
