Based on the analysis of thedanmaku of National Treasure (season 1)in bilibili, this study investigates the common addressing term types indanmaku interaction and explores the interpersonal functions of addressing termsfrom the aspects of object reference, identity construction and emotionalindication. The common addressing types in danmaku include kinship address,empathy address, metonymy address and wo（我） + NP address. Kinship address is not only used to express kinshipbut also has a new meaning to address. The addressing terms constructed throughempathy often include names of historical figures. Metonymic addressing termsoften refer to the communicators in the interaction of danmaku by using thenames of roles, places, professionals, colors of danmaku scripts or locationsof appearing danmaku scripts. In the wo + NP, NP is often a noun that denotesregion, country, nationality, dynasty and so on. It is mainly used to addressone's hometown, country, nationality and so on to interact with the people inthe danmaku interaction. The intrinsic motivation of these four types ofaddresses can be explained from the perspective of adaptation theory, includingadaptation to contextual factors such as program theme, communicative purposeand communicator's cognitive style. In addition, through the analysis ofspecific examples, we discuss how the interpersonal functions of addressingtypes in danmaku, such as object reference, identity construction, emotionalindication, are realized.
