It is necessary to pay attention to the lives of senior citizens in the Japanese community and the meaning and role of the elderly salon, which is the most closely connected service support space and social connection space. The purpose of this study is to analyze the newly emerging salons in the Japanese residential environment facing the post-aged society based on the cases presented in the Internet literature to find the meaning and role of salons applicable to Korea"s aged society.
According to the analysis of the Japanese salon 23 cases, the use of space was found to be in childcare (3 cases), caregiver"s rest (4 cases), multi-purpose (9 cases), hobby of baduk, mahjak, etc.(2 cases) and library and gallery (5 cases). Unlike existing community facilities, which have limited user conditions and locations, the saloon space, which can be used lightly by diverse audiences in the residential environment, will serve as a role for the post-aged society to prevent and manage the communication and information sharing of the elderly and what happens in the residential space.
