The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of self - regulation on the sport self - confidence and social development of youth sports club participants. The subjects of this study were 402 elementary school students in Gyeonggi-do D for final analysis. The collected data were verified using exploratory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis using PASW 21.0. The results obtained through these procedures are as follows. First, male students showed higher scores in all factors than female students in general characteristics. Second, there was a difference in all factors except for self - control in the difference of participating events. Third, the effect of self - control on sports self - confidence and social development was found to have a significant effect on all factors except some factors. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data for the development of various teaching plans and programs for guidance of young people.
