This study is to find a plan for peace and unification education aiming at cultural diversity. This study explored various domestic and foreign studies related to multiculturalism, interculturalism, and cultural diversity, and organized them into a system of goals and contents for peace and unification education. First of all, it was divided into three categories: knowledge and understanding of cultural diversity, attitudes and wills of cultural diversity, function of cultural diversity, and capability. "Diversity of Knowledge and Understanding" refers to "Knowledge, Understanding, and Awareness", "Cultural Diversity" of Attitude and Will, "Confidence, Attitude, Will", and Cultural Diversity "Function and Competency", and then put them in the form of "learning goals" and "class outline" statements.
Peace and unification education aiming at cultural diversity can first extend the horizon of unification education to the area of cultural diversity understanding education. Second, it can contribute to education on resolving the heterogeneity between the two Koreas in order to look back on the biases between the two Koreas and overcome them. Third, it is possible to explore systematic peace and unification education methods and tasks for cultivating knowledge and understanding, attitudes and wills, and functions and competencies. Fourth, it will be able to contribute to weakening the foundation of prejudice and conflict that has been formed during the division and for the development of a productive and creative culture at a higher level.
