Sustainability contributes to the revitalization of the local economy through the branding effects of the region. Performances developed using government and local governments’ subsidies must be embedded.
To derive strategies for sustainability, the company has designed a “performance content storytelling analysis model” by reorganizing production, texts and users, which are key elements of the performance process, planning, development, marketing and storytelling.
The analysis results of the family musical Danodano developed as a regional story resource reveal the following: (1) universal storytelling through the realization of locality, (2) genre conversion considering publicity, (3) provision and experience of enjoyment elements and (4) linkage and performance of follow-up support projects. It can be summarized as the need for a new model of valuation.
These four suggestions must be considered in order for performance content utilizing local story resources to become positioned contents linking the Korean wave.
