Report Errors
Amid growing concern about social inequality phenomenon, many policy measures are being introduced to address the young generation’s difficulties. Focusing on the younger generation’s internal heterogeneities, this study examines how the youth’s perception toward social issues is affected by the phase of policy acceptance: policy awareness, participation, and benefit. The result shows that the youth with a higher understanding of policies evaluate social issues more positively, and their affirmative perception is more noticeable when they think of policy measures as beneficial. Based on the result, the study draws policy implications that the government should design policies that young people actually feel the effects and come up with various ways to improve the youth’s policy awareness.
