This study aimed to verify structural relationships among mother"s positive parenting, children"s happiness, and children"s creativity. The subjects were 1,302 pairs of mothers and their children (656 boys and 646 girls), who had participated in the 10th year Panel Study on Korean Children (PSKC). Mother’s positive parenting was measured using “Authoritative, Authoritarian, and Permissive Parenting Practices”. Children"s happiness was measured using the MCS Child Paper Self-Completion Questionnaire. To measure children"s creativity, the K-FCTES test was conducted. Structural equation model analysis revealed that mother"s positive parenting have a significant positive effect on children"s happiness and children"s creativity. Children"s happiness had a significant positive effect on creativity. Finally, children"s happiness was found to mediate mother"s positive parenting and children’s creativity. These results showed that mother"s positive parenting affects children’s creativity directly or indirectly through children"s happiness.
