The purpose of this study is to identify to what extent housing support improves the housing situation of children’s housing poverty households and to examine the effects of housing changes on children and children’s households. For these purposes, a survey was conducted on children’s households whose housing was improved in 2019 after receiving housing support from the ChildFund Korea in 2017 and 2018. 173 parents or guardians and 153 children responded, and descriptive analysis, paired t-test, and regression analysis were performed. Major findings are as follows. The more positively the housing condition satisfaction changed, the lower the depression of the parents or guardians was significantly. And the more positively the housing cost burden changed, the lower the food deprivation was significantly. The better the children's room was secured, the more positively the children’s sleep pattern and breakfast changed. In addition, as the degree of the housing condition satisfaction increased and the degree to which the child's room was secured, the level of future job determination increased significantly. Based on these results, the practical and policy implications of housing welfare policies for children’s housing poverty households were presented.
