This study conducted the survey and analyzed to learners who received on-demand class and combined type class (on-demand and concurrent interactive type) among 2 classes of ‘Japanese Kanji learning’ a freshmen class at a four year university. We found the following results. (1) In terms of difficulty in Kanji learning, the learners who received the combined type class experienced the difficulty rather than the learner who received on-demand type class and face-to-face type class. (2) In terms of progress of class, the learners of face-to-face type class felt it faster rather than the learners of online class. (3) The activity of expressing the things experienced in the weekend into Kanji key words and looking at other’s Kanji learning key words is helpful in learning Kanji. (4) Making a short sentence using Kanji and looking at a short sentence made by other learner is helpful in learning Kanji. (5) The strength of on-demand type class that learners think is [Free time], [repeat learning is possible] and [sense of security]. (6) The weak point of on-demand type class that learners think is [Poor concentration], [Quality of Class] and [Absence of Communication Between Teachers and Learners] (7) The strength of combined type class that learners think is [Free time], [Comfort of not attending the school] and [boldness of presentation] (8) The weak point of combined type class that learners think is [Problems of the Internet Environment], [Decreased concentration, positivity, and Interest] and [absence of communication with teachers].
