Persimmons are autumnal and healthy fruit rich in diverse nutrients such as vitamins, amino acids, sugars and polyphenols. The ways to intake persimmon fruits depend on their cultivars and eating behaviors of consumers. For example, a direct intake at appropriate growth stage of non-astringent cultivars or status and an intake at ripened status of the astringent cultivars. Moreover, the peels of persimmons are removed prior to intake, which depends on individuals.
