The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of the program of ink-and-wash paintings education on the stress of the overseas korean students. The purposive sampling was used to select the 6 participants among the korean students at S university located on Shenzhen in China. The research was conducted during 8 months from 1 July 2014 to 10 February 2015. The program of ink-and-wash paintings education had total 24 sections and were conducted two hours in a section. The results of the research are following. First, the comparative analysis after the program indicated that the stress' indication reduced 1.05 among the participants. Second, the analysis of the 5 sub areas in the stress questionnaire - school life, personal relations, self-problems, circumstances, domestic life - showed that the stress of all six participants were decreased after the program. Concluding this analysis, this study shows that the program of ink-and -wash paintings education has a positive effect on the reduction of stress in some korean students residing abroad.
