The Chinese Writers Association is unfamiliar to us. Therefore, it is easy to overlook its importance. However, in China, especially in the 1950s, the Writers Association was an important organization that determined who could be a "writer," allowed the "writers" to write in a somewhat economically relaxed environment through salary or manuscript fee income, and gave them some political status. The Chinese Writers Association is a key link to the government, writers, publishers, media such as newspapers, magazines and the Internet., education, literature awards, research associations and conferences. Therefore, if you want to examine the literary field of China at the time, research on the "Chinese Writers Association" is indispensable.
