About 18,000 buildings certified as green buildings so far in Korea, interest in the certification has recently led to consideration of the healthy life of the occupants. Also the government is planning to expand green remodeling in accordance with the implementation of the Green New Deal policy. The purpose of this research is to identify the green building certifications being used internationally and the trends of previous domestic studies. This research analyzed 101 papers published from 2013, when G-SEED was introduced, to the 2021. Analysis includes publication year, research purpose, method, certification type, and space type. As a result, researches were the most active in 2013-14 and gradually decreased thereafter. Researches aimed at improving performance evaluation and certification standards have been actively conducted. Among domestic and foreign certifications, studies dealing with G-SEED accounted for the largest proportion, and the largest number of studies targeting residential spaces. This research showed that there are needs for studies on the sustainability of certified buildings and certifications’ studies that can support a healthy life for the current social situation. The results of this research are expected to be used as basic data for the directions in the green building certifications’ field.
