Cheonan is a city of patriotism and loyalty, which ignited various national liberation movements and produced many independence activists. In particular, this study confirmed that the patriotic landscapes of the Independence Hall of Korea and Memorial Hall of Patriotic Martyr Yu Gwan-sun in Cheonan have the potential to bring psychological changes with historical symbolism. Such landscapes transformed the historical site into a place for historical experiences by recalling and reproducing historical memories and caused psychological changes which had an influence on visitors’ revisit intention. Therefore, the historical and patriotic landscapes of Cheonan further reinforce its regional identity (patriotism & loyalty) and strengthen its significance as a historical and cultural tourist destination.
