The proportion of non-marriage without marriage is rapidly increasing due to the phenomenon of avoidance of marriage in the younger generation, low birth rate, and increase in life expectancy. With the increase in single-person households, people"s interest in companion animals increased, making companion animals more than just companions and companions to become family and protection. Due to changes in modern society such as the increase in single-person households and changes in perception of companion animals, the domestic pet industry continues to grow and is expected to continue to develop in the future. However, despite this trend, residential facilities that can satisfy single-person households are still insufficient compared to other industries. In order to solve this problem, we propose dog-centered convenience in the existing human-centered residential environment to restore the physical and mental health of pets and improve the quality of life through communities with residents with the same needs. Therefore, this study proposes a dog-friendly residential space that can satisfy both single-person household residents and dogs through analysis of the necessary elements of a dog-friendly residential space.
