The purpose of the study was to perform the consciousness survey of residents of permanent rental housing in Seoul., Gangnam and Gangseo. The data for the analysis was collected through questionnaire survey method from August 5 to 12, 2022, and the sample consisted of 56 respondents living in apartment complexes in Gangnam, Gangseo. Each feature of housing environment were categorized into unit housing, apartment complex, and neighborhood and total 28 specific questions were included in the evaluation. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and analysis of variance with Duncan’s multiple range tests. The results were as follows : 1) As a result of investigating the general characteristics, the properties of the complex are in the same vein as the general characteristics of permanent rental housing, and the aging of the population is expected to intensify over time. 2) In satisfaction of individual housing unit, the space size of the entrance and toilet was low. 3) In terms of community, the usage and satisfaction of Gangnam A complex were relatively low. Most of the external public spaces in Gangnam A complex were not used for their intended purpose, and there were less active communities such as social welfare centers and senior citizens’ homes compared to Gangseo B complex.
