The aim of this study is to examine the use characteristics of pedestrians in a neighborhood park at night and the differences in their usage behavior. The direct observation method was applied as the main research method at Uiam Park in Chuncheon, A total of 21 useful action codes were derived through a preliminary survey. The main results showed that movement was the most common pedestrian usage behavior. Also, the behavior code related to recognize, stop and look, touch, walk with short and quick steps, and cell phone usage while walking had differences in usage behavior among pedestrians according to the movement type. In addition, the behavior code related to stop, wait, stop and look, talk, talk aloud, walking with short and quick steps, walking hand in hand, listening to music while walking, looking at cell phone while walking, and night view had differences according to the number of companions. These results can be useful to the development of neighborhood park detailed spaces, distributed use density, and the development and operation of experience programs in parks at night.
