This study is a descriptive research study to investigate the dual mediating effect of customer orientation and organizational commitment in the relationship between service orientation and job satisfaction perceived by hospital nurses. The subjects of this study were 369 nurses working in five general hospitals in J and G provinces, and data collection was conducted using a structured self-report questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS WIN 26.0 and Process Macro 3.5 program. The main analysis results are as follows. Service orientation was positively correlated with organizational commitment (r=.48, p<.001), customer orientation (r=.65, p<.001), and job satisfaction (r=.64, p<.001). The double mediating effect of customer orientation and organizational commitment was significantly verified in the relationship between service orientation and job satisfaction. Therefore, the results of this study were meaningful in that they suggest a direction for establishing a service-oriented organizational culture of medical institutions, and lay the foundation for enhancing organizational competitiveness to meet the needs of more diversified medical service recipients.
