When it comes to ego, there are Personality-Type 1 and Personality-Type 2. The Personality-Type 1 is active and autonomous one, and Personality-Type 2 is the target for self-denying. Zhou Zuoren‘s biography represented active and autonomous self-consciousness, so it strongly criticized ethnic problem and suggested solution. However, after the invasion of Japan, personal problem something like trauma from physical fragility and vision for inevitable collapse of china are combined, which leads him to pursue personal line. Therefore, in the latter period, he ignored social/historical reality as passive and shadowy ego, and pursue his own comfort life. As he suffered from moral dilemma in this process, he adopted moderation of Confucianism which he criticized as old-fashioned morality, and moderation is wrapped as "Achievement of justice" and "Naturalization of ethics". The reason human cannot do practice isn't ignorance, rather they are likely to idle away even they know the thing and make mistake of rationalization. Thus, Zhou Zuoren should not be evaluated by standard of peaceful area for sympathy, also his achievement should not be underestimated by political criteria which demands absolute morality.
