Report Errors
This study suggests insurance companies’ strategies to minimize insurance fraudwhich is recently considered as a significant social issue in Korea. Insurance companies areresponsible to utilize any counting measures against moral hazard and adverse selection. To bespecific, underwriting process must be tightened for fixed-benefit health insurance products whileunauthorized auto insurance settlement practices should be reduced. On the other hand, insurancecompanies need to effectively and practically develop CRM to replace reckless mass marketingtactics. Most of all, it is important to renounce the sales-first paradigm in the industry, orotherwise all the governmental anti-fraud measures may not achieve their objectives.
