Report Errors
Social and emotional learning(SEL) was an educational framework that lacked a moral dimension to apply to moral education because it only emphasized ethical standards in responsible decision-making and generally advocated value neutrality. To compensate for this, the newly emerged social, emotional, and ethical learning(SEE learning) is a universal, non-sectarian, and science-based approach to introducing students’ ethical development as a whole person into educational process. SEE learning has more educational attraction and affinity to our moral education in that it is a learning model based on universal ethics that can be understood and accepted by anyone without being bound by a specific religion or ethical norms. Therefore, in this paper, the basic characteristics and framework of SEE learning were analyzed to identify the implications for our moral education.
